We do not disclose personal information to anyone outside the firm for the purposes of promoting their services to you.

To whom might we disclose your personal information?

We may disclose your personal information to: (a) Another Streeterlaw office; (b) Other companies or individuals who aid us in providing services or who perform tasks on our behalf (such as specialist consultants and barristers); (c) Courts, tribunals and regulatory authorities; and (d) Anyone else to whom you authorise us to disclose it. Sometimes we provide your information to others who provide services on our behalf. This may include barristers, doctors, forensic experts, accountants and insurance companies. These individuals are also bound by our privacy rules.

Security

We take all reasonable precautions to prevent loss, misuse or unauthorised access to private and personal information. We ensure strict physical security of our offices, have appropriate electronic software and hardware security to prevent unauthorised computer access, restrict access internally and we ensure there is a strong awareness of privacy principles among our staff through training and publication of policies. By law we hold your information for 7 years, after which it may be destroyed.

Email

Email is a very common means of conveying information. It is fast, convenient and cheap. However it is not a secure form of communication. You should be aware of this when you send us information and when you authorise us to convey messages or advice to you in this form.
